A Small Space, the Beginning
Above is a screenshot of what the interior of this map will consist. The premise here in relation to the overall Unreal multiplayer level is the interior of a pyramid structure, buried deep within the sands of the large map, will be accessed by once dormant teleporting stations. The layout is symmetrical and on each side will co-exist with the correlating team teleport. There will be accompanying teleports on each side of the map to gain access to the main interior where I would hazard a lot of combat will take plcae. So you can teleport in and continue to fight it out in a closed space where obviously they'll be some powerups to grab. I'm thinking a weapon locker in the middle will be a nice incentive. This is a small part of the map as the rest would be a very large open desert possibly with sand dunes and a nice sky box.

A View Behind the Game - My Little Dev Diary
A View Behind the Game
In the beginning there was light... Ah I have a new blog and with this new blog, contrary to my other blog where I discuss all things in the video games industry - http://mikekolb.blogspot.com/ -, this one will document my progress of my current personal gaming project! This will be a little behind the scenes look, a making of certain artistic elements of a game and a bit of my brain being splattered onto the screen, so to speak. I need to stop playing shooters - HEADSHOT! Currently in my head is another level I'm working on in the Unreal editor which is focusing on a larger play space than the levels I've created in the past. The other levels were both interior ones so I'm wanting to expand my horizons so to speak and go with an exterior level this time. More to come soon!
